Winter Motivation & Strength

Hello my lovely Val-mily,

Find the perfect shoes! Excersing can be so fashionable
if you have the right shoes :)
Even if I am NOT a fitness-blogger or nutrition expert, I wanted to post another article about health, mental health to be more precise. I won't say that I know everything abouth healthy and clean eating as I am no expert, but I'm learning every single day.

Why this post? Because sometimes I need to persuade myself to push further, and writing helps me to re-motivate myself! A lot of people have a lack of motivation during Winter time, and especially during december days.

Lift Weights in combination with Cardio!
December is always seen as a month of yummy food, celebrations, and the popular "after-christmas diet". You don't need to do this if you keep exercising and eating healthy even during December days!

If you want to lose weight, there is only 2 magic words: MOTIVATION & PATIENCE!

Patience is the key to every success. Let's be realistic, you won't lose 1 jeans size in one day, you will fall into your old schemas every now and then.

Why? well, firstly because life is kind of a rollercoaster, and secondly because you are a human being. Just keep going!!

Drink a lot of tea, this will detox your body.

I noticed that a lot of people have problems with staying motivated! But how can you motivate yourself? Well, first of all you need to surround yourself with positivity because negativity kills every sprakle of motivation. Ask yourself what you realy want and what you are ready to give to achieve this goal. Make sure you have realistic goals, and reward yourself if you have done something good.

Believe in yourself. Visualize how you are going to accomplish you goals and be kind and proud of yourself.

The most important thing is to NOT compare yourself with others. Of course it is important to have a role model!
Set your goals the way you want yourself to become, but do not expect to look like the one you admire.

BE YOU!!

Every change is individually determined and ther is no logic to compare your results with those of somebody else.

Eat clean :)
Being healthy mentally and physically, involves:

  • self-control
  • drink a lot of water
  • exercise regularly
  • climb stair (do not use the elevator)
  • forgive yourself
  • have patience
  • eat fruits and vegetables every day
  • go outside, re-live int the nature which surrounds you
  • base your plans on your recent goals
  • meditation
  • changes are not always bad
  • be adventurous
  • chart your progress
  • don't eat out of boredom
  • surprise yourself

Vitamins is the body's fuel!
DON'T'S:
  • deny yourself
  • point out your faults
  • watch too much TV and play video games
  • drink soda and sugar fruit drinks
  • be mad at yourself
  • forget to have fun
  • repeat old mistakes
  • have unrealistic goals
  • give up
  • use exercise to allow yurself to eat more
  • emotional eating
  • unhealthy diet tactics (skipping meals, excluding food groups...)
Find the perfect fitness buddy :) this is my running
buddy, my awesome Doggy ROCCO :)

If you run out of motivation, here are some quotes you need to tell yourself everyday. Think of that feeling you'll get when you've reached your goal:
"I have the control of my actions, it is up to me"
"I have the power within me to feel awesome and gorgeous and to achieve"
"I am strong and I can inspire others"
"I will succeed"
"I will take care of myself and I will feel great"
"I won't give up on what I want the most for what I want right now"
"I won't think about quitting, I will always remind myself why I started"
"If I want to look good, I need to love myself"
"I need to be healthy, strong and fit, physically and mentally"

Remember: MIND CHANGE means BODY CHANGE!!

I wish you a nice day :)

xoxo MATI
